Bipasha Basu and her new soulmate Karan Singh Grover don't subscribe to the institution of marriage.
Several theories have been making the rounds on why Bipasha Basu called it quits with her steady boyfriend Harman Baweja, the most talked about one being her affinity for her Alone costar Karan Singh Grover.
SpotboyE.com has it that the Jism actress got up-close and personal with Karan only after she had distanced herself from Harman. The real reason why Bipasha split with Harman is that Bipasha is a runaway bride.
A common friend of Karan and hers says, "Bipasha developed cold feet, when Harman and his family started making arrangements for their marriage. Harman's parents (filmmaker Harry Baweja and his wife Pammi) are very upset with her. The marriage was scheduled to happen in mid-2015."
Reveals the friend, "Bipasha has always shirked away from marriage. She tends to get a case of nerves if and when she thinks of marriage and starts to question whether or not she is making the right decision.
During her dating days with Milind Soman and Dino Morea, she used to tell her friends that she hates even discussing marriage.
John wanted to marry her in their early years of courtship but she declined. And when she wanted to give a legal status to their relationship around 2010, John was not interested. She wanted marriage with John at that point but only because she loved him so much that she didn't want to lose him (Bipasha and John split in January 2011)."
Adds the friend, "Bipasha's love story with Karan is a simple case of jaise ko taisa mila. Karan too is averse to marriage. His problem is that he tends to feel very suffocated after some time in any commitment."
Recently, Karan parted ways with his second wife Jennifer Winget (of TV serial Dill Mill Gayye fame) whom he married in 2012. Buzz is, Jennifer was fed up of his philandering ways and had started living separately. Karan's parents intervened to save their son's marriage but in vain.
In October 2009, Karan ended his marriage with his first wife Shraddha Nigam (of TV serial Krishna Arjun fame).
“Bipasha and Karan have similar takes on certain other aspects of life as well,” the friend added.
